one more week...

till i board on a plane and start my holiday...

as some of you already knew, i am vacating my beautiful melbourne apartment to take half a year off work and relaxing in my hometown, jakarta...

moving IS so stressful... so many things to organise... so many things to decide... accounts to disconnect... addresses to change/redirect... stuff to pack and ship home... goods to sell...

it's only a week away and not all of them have been sorted out... my used-to-be neat home now looks a bit of a mess with packing boxes and buble wrap scattered around...

can't wait to board on the plane... not because i like flying (gosh, i hate flying)... cause i know by then everything would have to be sorted out... *keep my fingers crossed*...

sometimes i wonder... why do i want to go through this??? look at the bright side, a nice holiday is waiting for me!!!

meet my new mac

a few weeks ago i bid on ebay for a brand new macbook... the auction went for a week and noone bid other than myself... so the night the auction closed i did not take my computer home thinking it would be safe... and the next morning i found out i lost the auction!! someone outbid me by $25 just minutes before the auction closed!!

the savings would be pretty good if i won that bid... but i thought, ah well its not mine... but i managed to leave a message to the seller letting him know that if the winner did not honour his bid, i will buy the macbook from him... and guess what?! a week later the macbook is back on second offer!!

in the end, yesterday i collected my new macbook... so white... so cute... and its mine!! i know i need a moment to get used to the setting and everything... but how exciting!!

you see... if its yours, it'll come back to you... don't you think sometimes things just have their own way to work out???

workplace injury

this morning i came early to the office... got a few stuff to clear before heading off to another client...

i was in a hurry, carrying a few files in one go, taking the stairs instead of the lift, and there it happened... must have missed a step, i fell and slid down the stairs, getting my left foot bruised and swollen!!

oh dear... first, embarassing... then sad... but all the help from people around me was wonderful... luckily there was a lady in the stairwell when that incident happened... she helped me stand up and walked back to my seat... then call first aider to help me... really appreciate all of them...

i cannot believe what had happened... but as usual, we should always see the bright side... this incident could be worse... my leg could have been broken... it could have been my right foot (which means i cant drive)... i could have been landed on my tail bone instead of my bum... well, this is not the best, but i am sure things happened for a reason...

moral of the story? never do anything in a rush... health is ALWAYS before work...

good news from doctor? i just have to avoid to walk too much put some ice on it and i should look as new in a few days time!!

copacabana

Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl
With yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there
She would merengue and do the cha-cha
And while she tried to be a star, Tony always tended bar
Across a crowded floor, they worked from 8 till 4
They were young and they had each other
Who could ask for more?

At the Copa, Copacabana
The hottest spot north of Havana
At the Copa, Copacabana
Music and passion were always the fashion
At the Copa....they fell in love

that was part of the lyrics...
but last night i went to the restaurant in fitzroy
and surprisingly... i had a whole lot of fun!!!

good food... fabulous food...

shopping at ...

ebay.com.au recently i just got addicted with shopping at this site... well i can now understand why people enjoy this more than actually going to the store and buy... i mean with all the other things you have to do, this is quite convenient... and you can do it from home... you can do lots of research first and when you're ready, you just click to buy or bid... i prefer the 'buy now' option (if it is available), i dont quite like the bidding game... and if you buy from a well established seller, you can just pay straight away with your credit card... how easy is that!!

i first bought my digital camera a week ago with a bargain price (thats even after taking into account the postage - from Hong Kong!) compare to retail and its delivered right to my office... so convenient... since then i have bought the memory card and the leather case from this site too!

electronic goods might be fine to be purchased from internet, but i am still not sure about clothing... i mean, it would be difficult wouldn't it to know if it suits you nicely??
